ACAF Applauds Senate Inclusion of 45Z in Reconciliation Package

WASHINGTON  — Americans for Clean Aviation Fuels Executive Director Jeff Grappone released the following statement regarding the inclusion of the Clean Fuel Production Credit in the Senate’s version of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which the Senate approved today:

“The Senate’s inclusion of 45Z as part of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act’s America First energy policy provisions reflects the significance of clean aviation fuels to American energy dominance. Building a robust American SAF market will drive jobs and economic growth in heartland communities while strengthening national energy independence.

“A broad range of industries – including aviation, farming, manufacturing, oil and gas, and biofuels – stands ready to build a thriving SAF value chain that demonstrates American leadership in energy innovation. We are grateful to our Senate champions for standing firm in support of growing this nascent market.

“ACAF encourages the House to pass a final version of the legislation that extends the Clean Fuel Production Credit. As we look ahead to the future, restoring the SAF-specific rate in the House-passed version of the bill will spur cross-sector investment to maximize the economic benefits of the American SAF market and advance American energy security.”

The Clean Fuel Production Credit has broad support from the full clean aviation fuel value chain, including energy, transportation, agriculture and manufacturing industry leaders. In June, ACAF called on the Senate to ensure that the reconciliation package included a framework for 45Z that would unlock the full potential of a domestic clean aviation fuels market.
